What will my baby wear during her/his appointment?

We require that babies use a disposable swim diaper (ex. Little Swimmers) with either a bathing suit or a swimming cover. If you need, we can sell you a disposable swim diaper for 2$, and lend you a swim cover for free, or you can purchase a bathing suit or swim cover in our boutique. The appropriate floater will be provided for free, and towels are also included. During the massage, the baby will wear a clean regular diaper (cloth or disposable is ok). 

What do I bring to my appointment?


Since we provide practically everything you need for the baby spa session, the items you need to bring are just everyday items that you'd bring when taking your baby outside your home. Common items include:


  • Baby diaper - to be changed into after bath.  

  • (Optional) Disposable swimming diaper  - we also can provide one for a 2$ fee

  • (Optional) Bathing suit - if you don't have one, we'll lend you a swim cover for free

  • Milk, water or snacks - babies will be very hungry and thirsty after so much exercise.

  • (Optional ) Extra towel - to provide more familiarity for older babies

In the winter season we also suggest bringing a pair of indoor shoes.


At what age can my baby start?


We accept babies from 2 weeks to 18 months with the minimum weight of 4kg. It is safe to schedule your first visit after the remaining umbilical cord is gone.

Do I need to make an appointment?


Yes. Call us at 514-738-0888 or email us at to book your appointment. We take appointments from 10 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Saturday. 

Do you change the water for every baby?


Babies  0-3 months use an individual tub which is cleaned and filled with fresh water after each usage. Babies 3-18 months use our pool which fitted with an ozone filter that cleans the water and maintains hygiene, in addition to cleaning the pool and changing the water daily.  


Do I need to be present during my baby's session?


Yes, it is required that you be present. We are sure it is going to be a wonderful time for everyone involved and do not want you to miss out on the incredibly fulfilling bonding experience it can facilitate between you and your baby.


Can we still attend a session if my baby is sick?


It is difficult to see your baby get sick. We want you and your baby to be feeling healthy during your visit. Our cancellation policy is such that we ask you to cancel with us at least 24 hours in advance as a courtesy, however we understand that babies (or parents) may wake up under the weather. Don’t worry! Give us a call to let us know as soon as possible and you can reschedule when you are both feeling better. 


How long will my baby's session last?


Flotation typically lasts 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the energy and age of the baby, and massages last 20 minutes. You and your baby are welcome to stay as long as you wish. We have an indoor playground designed just for infants and toddlers. We have a breastfeeding room, kitchenette, dining area that you can also make use of. 


Will my baby be floating alone or with other babies?

Babies 0-3 months float in individual tubs. Babies over 3 months float in our larger shared pool may be floating with other babies. We work to limit to 4 babies at a time, and typically they are fewer than that. We have times that are usually less busy than others, so if you prefer a quieter time, just let us know when you call to book your appointment. 


Can I book a group of babies?

Yes, we are happy to have baby play dates at the spa. We can accommodate 6 babies at a time in our shared baby pool for private sessions at no extra charge, but we do ask for a deposit for groups of 4 or more. Call us at 514-738-0888 to book your play date.


Can I bring my partner/mom/cousin/friend with me?

Yes, we are happy for you to bring guests to share in the fun! You are also welcome to bring children, but please note that you are responsible for their supervision and your baby's, so please plan ahead. There is no extra charge for additional guests. Please be aware that the spa room can get busy, and we ask that you share the space accordingly.

Can I take photos/videos? 

Yes, we are happy for you to take photos, videos, or share with loved ones through streaming video. We also have free wifi. And we’d love you to  share your photos and videos with us at @ifloatbabyspa on Facebook and Instagram, and we will post them! Please be aware that not all parents and babies wish to be on social media, so ask your fellow guests if it's ok to include their babes in photos/videos before posting.

Do you offer other classes or spa services for babies and mommies?


Yes we do! We also offer massages for adults, which can be scheduled by calling registered massage therapist Sally at 514-677-0011. We also offer many different classes such as post-natal yoga, Mommy and Me Music, and baby massage classes. You can view the schedule here . What forms of payment do you take?

We accept Cash, Debit, Visa, Mastercard and Discover. We can also can accept Interac e-transfers for registration for classes, gift certificates and deposits.

When did you open?

We opened in October 2015. We are proudly the first to bring the baby spa concept to Canada. We are mom owned and operated.
